As furniture craftsmen, we make pieces of all descriptions – largely for our own private clients, but also for interior designers for their own clients, and for other furniture designers, architects and property developers.
Richard opened the workshop in 1990, working alone designing and making fine contemporary pieces for his growing clientele, and the business has grown steadily ever since. Now the team is eleven-strong, and we work from a beautiful 18th Century tithe barn in Hedgerley near Beaconsfield.
We make furniture to the very highest levels of craftsmanship, be it a small jewellery box or the furnishing of an entire property, and we are happy to embrace projects of all natures and sizes. Richard is a qualified and award-winning designer in his own right, and (except where stated) it is his creative work you will see in the ‘Portfolio’ section of this website. We are equally happy, however, to work with other design professionals on projects for their own clients, either in a design collaboration or simply working to specified designs.
Many of our clients are relatively local to Beaconsfield, although we work country-wide (recently furnishing 13 rooms in a property in Scotland) and across the Channel Islands and Europe. We have also made pieces for several luxury superyachts.
We are predominantly craftsmen in wood, although we work regularly with other materials such as glass, leather, stainless steel, bronze, silver, mother of pearl, marble, stone and many others. Often we work in collaboration with other specialist craftsmen in these materials.
